Decipher Young Jedi Menace of Darth Maul Collectible Card Game

Menace of Darth Maul is the first expansion of Young Jedi CCG. It is published by Decipher in 1999 and consists of 140 normal cards, 18 diffraction foil cards and 2 Reprints with Corrected gameplay.

The basic gameplay is a PvP duel pitting the Light Side (LS) vs the Dark Side (DS). Both players come with each a LS and DS deck of exactly 60 cards and take turns dueling for control of 3 planet locations: Tatooine, Naboo and Coruscant. The winner of the individual game, is the player who wins control of 2 of the 3 planet locations.

This expansion was originally available in boosters packs, and fixed starter decks. Each fixed starter deck contained exactly the same 30 Light Side and 30 Dark Side cards.

There was an imbalance discovered in gameplay which led to revised and reprinted cards from the original printing. The 2 cards that were revised were Eopie which originally had no cost counters. A single cost counter was added to the corrected revised version. Also Battle Droid: Infantry - ATT Division, which had 3 cost counters. It was corrected to be just 2 cost counters. Both cards received a "beta"${\displaystyle \beta }$ symbol found at the end of the copyright line.
